ACCESS MEDIQUIP RESUMES NORMAL OPERATIONS AFTER SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN IN WAKE OF HURRICANE IKE

Houston Company's Call Centers, Customer Service and Operations Continue to Run Smoothly with no disruptions as a result of Hurricane Ike.

HOUSTON, TEXAS, SEP 22, 2008 -- Houston-based Access MediQuip announced the resumption of normal operations at its primary operations center and headquarters in Houston after the successful implementation of its emergency response plan. The company also resumed normal operations at its Orlando services center. The company's support to patients and customers continued uninterrupted last week in the wake of Hurricane Ike.

Hurricane Ike forced the temporary closure of the company's Houston offices for four days. During that time the company successfully transitioned primary operations to its secondary service center in Orlando, Florida. "In the wake of Hurricane Ike, our first priority was to our employees' safety and the needs of the patients we serve," said Access MediQuip President and Chief Operation Officer, Bill Elliott. "The magnitude of the damage and disruption caused by Ike was immense and we're extremely proud that we were able to maintain business continuity in the face of such adverse conditions. Our operations and information technology teams went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the successful implementation of the emergency response plan and it is a testament to our employees, who worked tirelessly through the past two weeks to execute the plan of action.
